IndiGo staff let a Kolkata-bound passenger head toward an Ahmedabad aircraft, then refused accountability and a ₹1,00,000 settlement

INDIGO, THIS IS NO LONGER ABOUT ₹1,00,000. It is about how you treat the common man. Today, I received two more responses from IndiGo. One came from a Senior Manager in Customer Experience. The other came from another representative. Both declined my proposed settlement. One acknowledged that the initial boarding verification should have been handled with greater diligence. The other reminded me that boarding gates can change and that I ultimately reached my destination. But neither answered the question at the heart of my complaint. How did IndiGo's staff fail to act correctly on a boarding alert and permit a passenger holding a Kolkata boarding pass to proceed towards an aircraft bound for Ahmedabad? IndiGo has already acknowledged that the alert was incorrectly interpreted. Another checkpoint caught the discrepancy before I entered the aircraft. I reached Kolkata as scheduled. I have never disputed that. What I dispute is the apparent assumption that because the final outcome was successful, the earlier error requires no further accountability. And what troubles me even more is how this grievance has been handled. Repeated emails. Different representatives. Repeated refusals. Reassurances about internal corrective measures, but little meaningful detail about the disputed facts. I spoke to a senior representative today and explained my position calmly and directly. I am not backing down. Not because I need ₹1,00,000 to prove a point. But because I believe every ordinary passenger deserves to be treated with dignity when something goes wrong. An airline's size, market position or commercial success does not give it the right to dismiss legitimate questions. This matter is now registered with the government's AirSewa grievance system. I will continue documenting the correspondence, asking questions and pursuing appropriate remedies. I am not asking anyone to prejudge the incident. I am asking for a fair, independent examination of the evidence and meaningful accountability. If one passenger stops asking questions because the process becomes exhausting, what happens to the next passenger? That is why I will keep asking. This is about more than one ticket, one flight or one settlement. It is about the voice of the passenger, and that voice deserves to be heard. #IndiGo #PassengerRights #AirSewa #ConsumerRights #CorporateAccountability Pavan Mulani Founder, RadheyShyam Group https://lnkd.in/ge_PwUj5 IndiGo (InterGlobe Aviation Ltd)Willie Walsh
