IndiGo wrongly let a passenger toward the Ahmedabad flight, admitted it, then offered only a meal after 8 days

8 DAYS. THREE ROUNDS OF EMAILS. ONE COMPLIMENTARY MEAL. ZERO MEANINGFUL ACCOUNTABILITY. On 24 October 2026, IndiGo's boarding-verification process failed at Chennai Airport. My Kolkata boarding pass was scanned, an alert was generated, and that alert was incorrectly interpreted. I was allowed to proceed towards an aircraft bound for Ahmedabad. IndiGo admitted the error in writing. A subsequent verification prevented me from boarding the wrong aircraft. I reached Kolkata as scheduled. But the fact that a later check worked does not erase the failure of the first. What followed has been deeply disappointing. Repeated correspondence. Repeated explanations. Different Customer Experience representatives. And a complimentary meal offered as a goodwill resolution. I have rejected that meal offer. Repeatedly. I did not raise this complaint because I was hungry. I raised it because airline passengers deserve dependable boarding procedures, transparent investigations and respectful treatment when something goes wrong. Eight days of seeking answers, and I am still asking: Who independently reviewed the incident? What corrective measures were actually taken? Have the relevant records been preserved? Why is a proposed settlement being dismissed without a meaningful independent response? I have now formally registered my complaint with AirSewa, under grievance QY487281. This is no longer simply an exchange of emails between a passenger and an airline. It is a formally recorded grievance awaiting meaningful resolution. I have no interest in attacking employees or exaggerating what happened. I am interested in evidence, accountability and ensuring that such failures are taken seriously. IndiGo, your passengers are not asking for favours. They are asking for responsibility. A complimentary meal cannot substitute for accountability. One voice. One documented incident. One simple demand: Take responsibility. #IndiGo #PassengerRights #AirSewa #AviationSafety #CustomerAccountability #ConsumerRights IndiGo (InterGlobe Aviation Ltd)Isidre Porqueras OreaWillie WalshSummi Sharma
