Axis Bank charged ₹2,700 in EMI foreclosure fees and GST after customer care promised none, then ignored complaints

Axis Bank Team, It has now been more than 3 working days since my last email, but I have still not received any response or resolution regarding my complaint about the wrongly levied EMI foreclosure charges, processing fees, and GST of approximately ₹2,700. What is even more disappointing is that the Branch Manager of Axis Bank, Ashokvan Branch, Dahisar East, is also not answering my calls despite my attempting to contact them 4–5 times at different intervals. Is this the level of customer service and professionalism that Axis Bank expects its customers to experience? At the very least, I expect a response acknowledging my complaint and providing an update on the action being taken. I have already explained the complete issue and followed up multiple times, but the continued lack of response is extremely disappointing and unacceptable. I request the concerned team and branch management to take this matter seriously, investigate the issue, and provide a resolution without any further delay. Please do not force me to escalate this matter to the Banking Ombudsman or reconsider my relationship with Axis Bank, including closing my bank accounts and credit card. I expect a written response and a concrete resolution at the earliest. However, I contacted Axis Bank Customer Care and requested the cancellation of the EMI facility, as I was willing to pay the entire outstanding amount in one lump sum. After discussing the matter with Customer Care, I paid the full outstanding amount on 1 August 2026. At that time, I was clearly informed by the Customer Care representative that no additional charges would be levied by the bank in the future. However, on 30 September 2026, the bank charged me approximately ₹2,700 towards EMI foreclosure charges, processing fees, and GST, which is contrary to the information provided by Customer Care. I subsequently contacted the Ashokvan, Dahisar East branch, and the branch team forwarded an email to the concerned department. I have also sent two to three reminder emails, but I have not received any response or resolution from the concerned team. I request you to kindly investigate this matter, reverse the incorrectly levied charges of approximately ₹2,700, and provide me with a written confirmation of the resolution at the earliest. It is disappointing that despite making the full payment and following up multiple times, I have not received a proper response from the bank. If this issue remains unresolved, I will be compelled to reconsider my banking relationship with Axis Bank and may proceed with closing my bank accounts and credit card in the coming months. I look forward to your prompt response and resolution. Regards, Sunil Yadav
