Flipkart / Ekart - Fraudulent Cash on Delivery (COD) Scam of ₹999 for Unordered Cheap Plastic Shoe Rack & Lack of Support Assistance

BEWARE OF CASH ON DELIVERY (COD) SCAM! I am sharing this so that none of my friends and family fall into this trap. Recently, a package was delivered to my house via Ekart/Flipkart with a Cash on Delivery (COD) amount of ₹999 for a cheap plastic shoe rack. Thinking someone at home had ordered it, the payment was made in cash. However, after checking with everyone, we realized no one in our family ever placed this order! How this scam works: Fraudulent sellers dispatch cheap, low-quality items on COD to random address lists. Since the order was never placed from our Flipkart account, there is no record in our order history to request a return or refund. I tried contacting Flipkart support regarding this, but received no assistance or resolution from them. Important Safety Tips: Never accept or pay for a COD parcel without cross-checking your apps My Orders section. Always confirm with everyone at home before handing over cash to delivery agents. If an order is not in your order history, refuse the delivery immediately.
