IRCTC refund of ₹4,041.44 for cancelled ticket still not credited, shown as SENT_TO_BANK with no proof of payment

🚨 IRCTC, WHY IS MY REFUND STILL NOT CREDITED EVEN AFTER BEING MARKED AS SENT TO BANK? I am extremely disappointed with the way my refund issue is being handled by IRCTC. I cancelled my train ticket on 29 September 2026, but despite repeated follow-ups, I have still not received my refund of ₹4,041.44. Here are the details: 🔹 PNR: ****** 🔹 Train No.: 22883 – Puri to Yesvantpur 🔹 Transaction ID: ****** 🔹 Cancellation Date: 29 September 2026 🔹 Refund Amount: ₹4,041.44 🔹 Refund Status: SENT_TO_BANK 🔹 Payment Mode: Credit/Debit Card (Powered by HDFC) The most frustrating part is that IRCTC's own portal displays the refund status as SENT_TO_BANK, with a remark stating that the refund has been sent to the bank. However, the amount has still not been credited to my account. I have already: ✅ Raised an eQuery with IRCTC. ✅ Made numerous calls to customer support. ✅ Followed up repeatedly regarding the pending refund. ✅ Registered a consumer complaint – 10594762. Despite all these efforts, I have not received my money or a satisfactory resolution. My questions to IRCTC: If the refund has been sent to the bank, where is the actual refund transaction reference number (ARN/RRN)? Why has the amount not been credited to my original payment method? Who is responsible for resolving this issue, and when can I expect my money back? I am not asking for any special treatment. I am simply asking for my own money to be refunded after a successfully cancelled ticket. I request IRCTC, the Ministry of Railways and the concerned authorities to intervene, investigate this matter and ensure that ₹4,041.44 is credited to my original payment method without further delay. Please don't close this complaint with a generic response stating that the refund has been sent to the bank. I need actual transaction proof and a concrete resolution. A refund marked as SENT_TO_BANK is not the same as money received by the customer. I hope this post reaches the concerned authorities and gets the attention it deserves.
