Croma portable AC complaint: overheating wiring, poor cooling, high power use, noise, and refund request

CromaPC-2026-01734OtherAnonymous ·
Croma #croma Dear Croma Customer Support Team, I am writing to formally request a return and a full refund for a portable AC I recently purchased from the Croma Showroom. I am seeking this return due to severe functional issues, significant misinformation provided by both your sales staff and the website, and a serious safety concern. As detailed in my grievance report, I have experienced the following critical issues with the product: 1. Safety Hazard & False Information regarding Power Requirements: Your sales staff explicitly assured me that the AC would operate safely on a normal room power supply and standard wiring without requiring any extra electrical load. However, upon installing the AC as instructed, the unit caused severe overheating of the room wiring, main switch, and power wires, resulting in actual damage to my room's electrical system. 2. Inadequate Cooling: I was informed by staff and the company website that the unit was designed to cool an area of 120 to 150 sq. ft. In reality, the AC fails to properly cool even a small room. Even your technician also visit and checked by equipment and agreed with the same. 3. Excessive Power Consumption: The sales staff and company technician stated that the AC would consume approximately 1 to 1.2 units per hour. However, it is consuming more than 1.8 units per hour, which is unacceptably high. 4. Excessive Noise: The unit operates with a very loud and disruptive sound, making it unfit for comfortable use. 5. The room is getting hot again within just a few seconds of turning off the AC. it doesn't stay cool even for a few seconds. Because the product was completely misrepresented at the time of purchase and poses a direct risk to my household safety due to overheating, I cannot keep it. Please arrange for the pickup of this product at the earliest and initiate a full refund of the paid amount to my original payment method. I have attached my purchase invoice along with this email for your reference.
