Tata AIG denied daughter's emergency spine surgery claim as pre-existing without evidence, then threatened policy cancellation

Tata stands for humanity. Yet Tata AIG’s approach feels almost Hitlerian. My daughter underwent emergency spine surgery for a prolapsed intervertebral disc on 29 September 2026, following progressive neurological deterioration and the risk of paralysis. Tata AIG rejected her insurance claim, alleging a four-year pre-existing spine condition without providing documented evidence, and issued a 15-day policy cancellation notice on Nov 3, 2026. Who would deliberately postpone emergency spine surgery for four years for financial gain? Also, who would undergo risky spine surgery, even for crores of rupees, unless medically necessary? A month of mental harassment by Tata AIG team has been unbearable. My daughter, still recovering from major spine surgery, endured tremendous stress throughout the night. Neither of us could sleep. We have approached the Insurance Ombudsman for suspension of policy cancellation and fair claim review.
