Refund dispute over accidental LinkedIn Sales Navigator subscriptions billed via Google Play totaling ₹17,839.98

Unknown companyPC-2026-01974OtherAnonymous ·
A Customer Seeking Justice: ₹17,839.98 Refund Rejected — Who Is Responsible? I am sharing my experience publicly because I have been unable to obtain a satisfactory resolution through the customer support channels of Google Play and LinkedIn. Two LinkedIn Sales Navigator charges of ₹8,919.99 each were made through Google Play, totalling ₹17,839.98. My minor son accidentally activated the subscriptions without understanding their cost or financial consequences. I earn only ₹15,000 per month and travel approximately 150 km daily for work. I am responsible for my son's school fees, house rent, loan instalments and household expenses. This unexpected deduction has caused serious financial hardship. I requested refunds for both transactions, but Google Play rejected both requests. LinkedIn Support informed me that it could not directly process refunds for purchases billed through Google Play. I tried to explain my circumstances through both companies' support systems, including their AI-powered assistants. However, I have still not received a satisfactory resolution or meaningful assistance. My questions are simple: 1. When an expensive subscription is accidentally activated by a minor, is there a meaningful process for reviewing the circumstances? 2. Why is it so difficult for a customer to obtain human assistance after a refund request is rejected? 3. When Google Play and LinkedIn refer the customer to each other, who takes responsibility for helping resolve the complaint? I have cancelled the subscription and enabled purchase verification to prevent similar incidents in the future. I respectfully request Google Play to reconsider both transactions and review my case for a one-time exceptional refund of ₹17,839.98. I am sharing this experience to seek a fair resolution and to raise awareness so that other families can avoid similar difficulties. Google Play and LinkedIn: Please review my case and help me find a fair resolution. #GooglePlay #LinkedIn #Consum
