HDFC Bank charged ₹6,961.08 in finance charges, return fees and GST on a credit card and gave no written explanation

Is this the kind of customer service an ordinary customer deserves? Reserve Bank of India (RBI) HDFC Bank HDFC Limited I am raising a serious concern regarding my HDFC Bank BizGrow Credit Card and the customer service experience associated with the HDFC Bank, Nanpara Branch. From July to October 2026, a total of ₹6,961.08 in disputed charges appeared on my credit card account: • Finance Charges: ₹4,189.22 • Payment Return Fee: ₹1,710.00 • GST/IGST: ₹1,061.86 Total: ₹6,961.08 When I approached the concerned Relationship Manager for a clear explanation, I was verbally told that these charges were related to partial payments and would continue to apply. But my question is simple: Does an ordinary customer not deserve a clear, written explanation and complete calculation for every charge levied on their account? A customer should not have to struggle to understand why thousands of rupees have been charged. I am not asking for special treatment—I am simply asking for transparency, accountability, fair resolution, and a detailed written explanation. I have requested a review of all disputed charges and their reversal if they have been wrongly or unjustifiably levied.
