In Chetak 35 series, Estimated 3% to 5% of early owners end up needing a battery-related warranty intervention or full pack replacement. In Ather Gen 1 & Gen 2, Estimated 2% to 4% of high-mileage users (those crossing 40,000+ km) end up filing claims for capacity drops or severe idle drain. However, these numbers (can be old) are based on complaints shared on online community platforms. The actual numbers could be much higher, but companies don't disclose them to avoid negative publicity. Warranty document is very imp. to understand for each EV owner. Let's see what a general battery warranty document tells us and what we should keep in mind: Battery Warranty: It protects you against manufacturing defects. If the company determines that a component failed because of a manufacturing defect during the warranty period, they will repair or replace it.
