An Urgent Appeal to the Madhya Pradesh Consumer Protection Minister – Seeking Accountability from Star Health Insurance Respected Hon'ble Minister for Consumer Protection, Madhya Pradesh, @ Govind Singh Rajput, I would like to bring a serious consumer grievance against Star Health Insurance to your attention and request your intervention. Our family has faced a deeply disappointing experience regarding our father's health insurance claims. The most concerning aspect is that Star Health rejected one of our claims citing past medical history (pre-existing medical conditions) as the reason for rejection, while approving another claim arising from the very same medical episode. This raises a very important question: If past medical history was sufficient grounds to reject one claim, why was another claim from the same medical episode accepted? Why are two claims arising from the same episode being treated differently? We believe this contradictory decision deserves a clear, logical and transparent explanation from the insurance company. We belong to the Hon'ble Minister's home district in Madhya Pradesh, and we sincerely hope that our grievance will receive your attention. We respectfully request the Hon'ble Minister to: 1. Take cognizance of this matter and seek an explanation from Star Health Insurance. 2. Ensure an impartial examination of both claim decisions. 3. Direct the company to provide a clear and written justification for the contradictory decisions. 4. Take strict action if any unfair practice or violation of consumer rights is established. Star Health and Allied Insurance Co. Ltd: We are waiting for a clear answer. If past medical history was the reason for rejecting one claim, what justified approving the other claim arising from the same medical episode? We are not asking for any special treatment. We are simply asking for consistency, transparency and fair treatment under the same insurance policy. Health insurance is a promise of financial protection during medical emergencies. Customers pay their premiums with trust, and that trust deserves to be respected. Hon'ble Minister, we request your intervention and strict action to ensure accountability in the health insurance sector. This is not just about our family; it is about protecting the trust of thousands of policyholders. #StarHealthInsurance #ConsumerProtection #ConsumerRights #HealthInsurance #MadhyaPradesh #InsuranceClaim #JusticeForConsumers
