Care Health claim closed after ₹1.43L deduction, pending reimbursement, Policybazaar delay

My mother was hospitalised in July 2026 and her Care Health Insurance medical claim has been left unresolved. Care abruptly closed the claim after deducting approximately ₹1.43 lakh, citing non-submission of break-ups for some bills in the final hospital bill, although no such request was raised before closure. The required documents were obtained from the hospital in September and emailed to Policybazaar around 10 September 2026. Policybazaar forwarded them to Care only on 3 October 2026, about 25 days later. Despite weekly follow-ups with Policybazaar's claims team, the claim is still unresolved, and pre- and post-hospitalisation reimbursements are also pending. The customer is asking for expedited settlement of the claim and pending reimbursements, and for accountability for the delays. Source: public LinkedIn post by Rajit Arora.
