Amount debited but unable to see bookings

On 1 November 2026, at approximately 7:28 PM, I attempted to book a flight from Mumbai to Bagdogra through Yatra’s online platform. I completed the payment of ₹41,663 through Google Pay using my Axis Bank account. The transaction details are as follows: * Merchant: Yatra Online Limited * Amount: ₹41,663 * Date: 1 November 2026 * Time: 7:28 PM * Payment method: UPI (Google Pay) * Bank: Axis Bank * UPI Transaction ID: ****** The transaction was marked as COMPLETED in Google Pay. More importantly, the payment confirmation explicitly states: “Receiver’s bank has confirmed deposit of money to Yatra Online Limited’s bank account.” This establishes that the recipient’s bank acknowledged receipt of the payment. 2. Failure to generate the flight booking Despite the successful payment: * I did not receive any flight booking confirmation. * No PNR or e-ticket was generated or communicated to me. * The booking was not visible under the ‘My Bookings’ section on Yatra’s platform. * I received no clear communication explaining why the booking had not been generated. 3. Attempts to contact Yatra Immediately after noticing that the booking had not been generated, I attempted to contact Yatra through its customer support channels. However, I encountered the following issues: * My calls to customer support were unanswered. * When attempting to access customer support, the system stated that my mobile number was not registered, despite my having attempted the booking through Yatra. * I sent multiple emails to Yatra explaining the situation, sharing the payment proof and requesting either a confirmed flight ticket or a full refund. * Despite repeated follow-ups, I did not receive a concrete resolution. 4. Public escalation through X (Twitter) Since I was unable to obtain a resolution through the regular support channels, I publicly escalated the matter by tagging Yatra’s official support account on X. I explained that ₹41,663 had been successfully credited to Yatra’s bank account, but no ticket or PNR had been generated. Yatra Care responded through its representative, Vicky, stating: “Please accept our apologies for the inconvenience; we are working on your concern and request your patience while we review the matter and determine the next steps.” However, this response did not provide confirmation of the flight booking, a refund commitment or a definite resolution timeline.
