Samsung India - Sudden Motherboard Failure on Galaxy S23 Ultra with ₹50,000 Repair Estimate

Samsung IndiaPC-2026-01741Consumer Electronics & AppliancesAnonymous ·
When a flagship phone fails, should the customer have to pay the price? I never expected to write a post like this, but my experience with the Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra has been extremely disappointing. Yesterday, my phone suddenly made a sound and went completely dead. I took it to the service centre, only to be told that the motherboard had failed and that the repair would cost me approximately ₹50,000. Here's what makes this even more frustrating: The phone is not even two years old. There has been no physical damage. The phone has never been dropped or suffered water damage. So, what caused the motherboard to fail suddenly? And more importantly, why should a customer bear a repair cost of ₹50,000 when there is no apparent damage or misuse from their side? When customers invest in a premium flagship device, they expect reliability, durability, and support that matches the price they pay. Unexpected hardware failures can happen, but the way a brand handles such situations is what truly defines the customer experience. I'm not asking for special treatment. I'm asking for a fair investigation and a reasonable resolution.
