Care Health claim closed after ₹1.43L deduction, Policybazaar delayed documents 25 days

A parent was hospitalised in July 2026 and the family has been chasing settlement of the medical insurance claim with Care Health Insurance, which was bought through Policybazaar. Care Health abruptly closed the claim after deducting approximately ₹1.43 lakh, citing non-submission of break-ups for certain bills in the final hospital bill, though no such request had been raised before closure. The customer obtained the required documents from the hospital in September and emailed them to Policybazaar around 10 September 2026. Policybazaar forwarded them to Care only on 3 October 2026, a delay of about 25 days. Despite weekly follow-ups with Policybazaar's claims team, the claim remains unresolved and pre- and post-hospitalisation reimbursements are still pending. The customer is asking for senior management intervention, expeditious settlement of the pending claim and reimbursements, and accountability for the delays.
