Recently, my portability request was turned down with a vague, one-liner text message that provides absolutely no regulatory context, specific clause numbers, or sound clinical justification. As per the latest IRDAI Guidelines, an insurance company cannot issue arbitrary, blanket rejections. They are legally mandated to share the exact Board-Approved Underwriting Clause if they are excluding any past medical history. Under transparency and RTI principles, a consumer has a fundamental 'Right to Know' the precise basis of their risk evaluation. I have officially escalated this matter on the Insurance Bharosa (Bima Bharosa) Portal and formally challenged the underwriter's decision. Health insurance runs on trust and transparent parameters, not on vague algorithmic text updates. I urge the grievance cell of Aditya Birla Health Insurance Company Limited to provide a legally and medically justified repudiation letter rather than keeping policyholders in the dark.
