🚨 Serious Complaint Against Zoomcar – Pending Reimbursement of ₹1,66,860 and Travel Expenses
I am extremely disappointed with Zoomcar’s handling of my case, which has remained unresolved for months despite repeated follow-ups and submission of all supporting documents.
In September 2025, my vehicle (UP14FU8599) was seized in Bihar in an Excise case while it was being operated by a guest through Zoomcar. Alcohol was reportedly found during the incident, and I, as the registered vehicle owner, had to face the resulting legal and financial complications.
To get my vehicle released and deal with the situation, I had to pay a challan of ₹1,66,860 in January 2026, along with additional travel and related expenses.
I submitted the challan receipt, travel bills, supporting documents, and all the required details to Zoomcar. Despite repeated follow-ups, my reimbursement remains pending.
Case Details:
- Vehicle Registration: UP14FU8599
- Booking ID: JPSNKQD0O
- Case Reference: 2383943
- Vehicle Seizure: September 2025
- Challan Paid: ₹1,66,860 in January 2026
- Current Status: Reimbursement and expenses still pending
Zoomcar previously informed me that the matter had been escalated to the City Manager and later to the legal team. However, I have not received a satisfactory resolution or a confirmed payment timeline. My consumer grievance was also closed without resolving the underlying issue.
This situation has caused me significant financial loss, inconvenience, and unnecessary stress. A vehicle owner should not be left bearing substantial expenses arising from an incident involving a guest using the platform, without a clear and accountable resolution process.
I request Zoomcar’s senior management and concerned legal team to:
1. Reimburse the challan amount of ₹1,66,860.
2. Reimburse the documented travel and related expenses submitted.
3. Provide a written explanation for the prolonged delay.
4. Share a definite reimbursement timeline and resolve this
