Tata Motors - Excessive Service Estimates & Overcharging at Zedex Wazirpur Service Station (Rs 55,000 vs Rs 7,000)

A disappointing experience that has made me question how much we should car authorized trust service stations blindly. Over my last three visits to Tata Motors Zedex(Wazirpur) Service Station with my Nexon, the bills were consistently in the 30,000–40,000 range. Despite spending that much, I was never really happy with how the car drove.This time, again they quoted me Rs.55,000. I decided to get a second opinion from GoMechanic.in. The mechanics showed me the parts and explained their condition. In the end, they replaced the brake discs and pads, and the bill came to around 7,000.What surprised me most? My Nexon is now driving smoother than ever. Im not claiming every repair suggested by the authorised service centre was unnecessary, but a difference between a 55,000 estimate and a 7,000 bill deserves an explanation.As customers, we trust service centres to recommend what our cars actually need , ot leave us wondering whether we're spending money unnecessarily. A simple lesson for every car owner: Get a second opinion before approving an expensive repair.
