I am raising a serious food safety concern regarding a bottle of Pluckk Cold Pressed Mango Juice purchased from a vending machine at Delhi International Airport, Terminal 2.
The product appeared suspiciously deteriorated, raising serious concerns about its freshness, storage conditions, shelf life and suitability for consumption. The bottle label carries the batch and manufacturing details, which I have documented through photographs.
I called your helpline at ******, but despite repeated assurances and apologies, no representative attended to the matter. I was merely offered a refund.
This is NOT about a refund. It is about passenger safety and a potential failure of food safety and quality-control systems at an international airport.
If a potentially spoiled food product can be sold at such a prominent public location, it raises a serious question mark over the quality checks, stock rotation, temperature control and accountability of the vendor and brand.
I demand:
1. An immediate inspection of the vending machine and all products from the concerned batch.
2. Verification of the product’s expiry date, storage temperature, distribution records and batch traceability.
3. Preservation and testing of the product, along with a written investigation report.
4. Identification of the responsible parties and corrective action to prevent recurrence.
5. A formal written response explaining how this product was made available for sale.
I am concerned about potential health consequences, including gastrointestinal illness or infection, if a contaminated product is consumed. I reserve my right to seek medical evaluation if symptoms develop and to pursue appropriate legal remedies if negligence is established.
If this matter is not addressed seriously, I will escalate it to FSSAI, the concerned food safety authorities, airport management and the appropriate consumer and legal forums.
Passenger safety cannot be compromised, and an apology or refund is not an acceptable substitute for accountability.
