Milaap response on checkout tips, opt-out design, and donor refund policy

Hi Rachit, addressing only the core issues, you've raised above1) Our communication in the checkout doesn't stop at stating not charging fees, but also asking donors to kindly consider a tip - a vast majority of donors choose to donate the entire amount to the cause, while a considerable no. of them leave a tip, over and above the donation. Needless to say, our service remains the same for all. 2) The recommended/default values shown changes with the user input for donation amount.  for eg if chosen donation amount is higher, the recommended % value becomes lower - donors are free to choose other and leave any amount or leave it blank. 3) Our use of opt-out system is not with 'malicious' / fraudulent intent -  more to do with behavioral design on how such decisions are made [seen across the world in crowdfunding / fundraising platforms and also for issues like organ donation]. For those who do add the tip, there are 2 more steps with the amount mentioned in CTA button before the user donates to ensure they are aware. It's also mentioned in payment acknowledgement email that goes out to them. Needless to say, we also have a no qns asked refund policy for donations and tips whenever donors reach out to with such requests. Over 20,000+ ppl who have raised money on Milaap in the last year or so, have shared their reviews here https://milaap.org/reviews - these are real time and unfiltered/ not moderated. Hope this clarifies. If there's a specific feedback about a donation made or a campaign, pls email us at feedback at Milaap dot org  / you are welcome to DM me in LinkedIn as well. the feedback mentioned in the screenshot shared in the comments have been addressed by the team as well as myself and other users in the thread. … more
