Please look out for RED FLAGS – clear indications of why you may be involved in a scam and need to secure your personal information. We believe that the case that has been brought to our attention is not an isolated one and is supported by a network of ‘friends’ or aliases. Therefore we ask kindly, and hope for the help of our local and international community members to report any strange or illegal behaviour in this regard, so that we can welcome visitors to India in a respectful manner. In this way, matters of grave concern, impacting our community standards and professional practices, can be taken to the authorities. We cannot continue to tolerate underhanded, degrading and illegal behaviour within our spiritual platforms and communities, both online and offline. We trust you will stand unanimously with us in reporting these cases with clarity and honesty. ***TOP 10 WARNING SIGNS/RED FLAGS*** 1. Referral to the service by an ‘alias’ or ‘friend’ of the consultant. 2. Have never met the representative or consultant. 3. Have no reference to an online/social media profile/website. 4. Not working under a company/brand/logo. 5. Recreating emails and not using original information. 6. Insulting language and manipulative behaviour, making the victim feel as though they did something wrong or belittling them. 7. Using wire transfer for payments. 8. Inconsistent communication, unnecessary delays, ghosting. 9. Refuses to meet in person or online/video/skype/zoom etc. 10. No refund policies offered and no terms of services given in writing.
