Jewar Land Compensation Funds Vanish In Alleged ₹22-Cr Gr Noida Bank Fraud; PNB Suspends 5 Employees An alleged ₹22-crore bank fraud at Punjab National Bank's Sector Pi-1 branch in Greater Noida has left several account holders struggling to access their savings, including fixed deposits and compensation received for land acquired for the Jewar International Airport. Preliminary findings indicate that the money was transferred to accounts in Jharkhand. Victims say the missing funds were meant for urgent needs, including medical treatment and family expenses. PNB says it has suspended five employees, transferred the remaining branch staff and begun returning money to affected customers. Police have received 37 complaints so far, while the bank has also approached the CBI.
