Cleartrip - Unhonored Hotel Booking at Chafa Ecostay Nashik (₹6,600), Forced Extra Expense (₹12,000), & Unprocessed Refund of ₹5,320 Despite Repeated Broken Promises

A confirmed hotel booking. No room on arrival. And 15 days of chasing a refund. Is this the customer experience Cleartrip promises? On 3 October 2026, I travelled to Chafa Ecostay, Nashik, with four adults and a child, having booked accommodation through Cleartrip for approximately ₹6,600. Imagine reaching your destination with your family, only to discover that the hotel has no booking under your name. According to the hotel staff, they had not received our booking details from Cleartrip. Thankfully, the hotel staff accommodated us out of courtesy, arranging rooms for approximately ₹12,000. Otherwise, we would have been stranded despite having a confirmed booking. But the frustration did not end there. Cleartrip has still not credited my outstanding refund of approximately ₹5,320.nn- 6 October: I was informed that the refund had been initiated.n- 12 October: I was again informed that the refund had been initiated.n- 18 October: No refund received. Every time I follow up, I receive another deadline. My question to Cleartrip is simple: If a refund has genuinely been initiated, why can you not provide proof of the transaction and a definitive resolution? Customers should not have to spend hours following up to recover their own money, especially when the original problem was a booking failure beyond their control. I am publicly requesting Cleartrip to: 1. Process my outstanding refund immediately. 2. Provide the actual refund transaction reference and processing date. 3. Explain why my confirmed booking was not available at the hotel. 4. Address the additional expense and inconvenience caused. A booking confirmation should mean that a room is actually booked. And a refund confirmation should mean that the money has actually been processed. Cleartrip Cleartrip — I expect accountability and a resolution, not another revised deadline. #Cleartrip #CustomerExperience #ConsumerRights #TravelBooking #CustomerService
